I have been reading 1st and 2nd Kings in my quiet times lately. I am not sure why in general , or really why at this time in life? I have never really read these books in the bible from start to finish. Sometimes the difficulties, twist, turns and changes in life and in society confuse me. I desire to search for truth, meaning, and explanation, and sometimes find myself struggling to understand. However, GOD has a plan for me and my life, and HE understands it. I sense HIM saying to me, "turn it over to ME". Unfortunately, I do not always put HIS wisdom at the top-of-mind. Sadly, when I come to my senses I realize that I am wasting my time (yet again) while dealing with my frustrations. HE is letting me know that there are problems, frustrations, and troubles in life that are mightier than my ability to understand or to solve them.

Always remember, you are a sinner - saved by GOD's grace....So don't judge, and have compassion
Give others the respect and forgiveness that JESUS gives to you:

Matthew 7:1-3King James Version (KJV)
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

From me-Chosen, to "the Chosen"!
From today's UpperRoom devotional - John15:16 - I was chosen by HIM;
Regardless of my circumstances, I will enjoy the life GOD gives me and will do the best I can for HIM. I am just happy when GOD and I are on the same team.

Take heart beloved, GOD wants to prosper you in your life.
Sometimes the followers of JESUS-CHRIST experience negative situations or circumstances. But GOD says that for us, these things are temporary. HE has plans to prosper us and not to harm us (HE has our best interest at heart)
Psalm 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night; but rejoicing comes in the morning.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night; but rejoicing comes in the morning.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Open our eyes, ears, and hearts LORD so that we can see you!
At my church today, (the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church - #LAPC);
The sermon encouraged me to see others as JESUS wants me to see them. But first I must be open to HIS leading and put my full trust in HIM completely.
Open Our Eyes Lord Lyrics
Open our eyes Lord
We want to see Jesus,
To reach out and touch Him
And say that we love Him.
Open our ears Lord
And help us to listen,
Open our eyes Lord
We want to see Jesus.
Open our eyes Lord
We want to see Jesus,
To reach out and touch Him
And say that we love Him.
Open our ears Lord
And help us to listen,
Open our eyes Lord
We want to see Jesus.

Inspiration for staying on track during the work week.
One of the radio programs that I try to listen to regularly is "Walk with the King", hosted by the late Dr. Robert A Cook - http://www.walkwiththeking.org/. This broadcast is on the radio M-F, 7AM & again at 2PM on WFME- NYC, 94.7 FM (about 15min). What I like about this program is the simplicity of it. Dr. Cook speaks to you, not "at" you. Some days I feel like I am the subject of the discussion. He starts the program off by saying, "Hello again, radio friends. How in the world are you?" Priceless!!!!! Then he speaks to normal everyday struggles that we as people deal with as we seek to follow the teachings of the bible. Dr. Cook's message has a way of communicating with people that goes beyond the superficial and is very personal to the listener (Blessed!). I can also say that the radio program has helped me to understand scripture better, and apply it to my life. What a blessing, praise GOD! Check it out. I know you will be glad that you did.

Understanding GOD's will and carrying it out!
Staying faithful to GOD's will requires strength that I do not have. I find myself falling down alot. I want to be better. I want things to change and walk worthy of the call that GOD has given to me. What kinds of things do the people of GOD practice in order to keep themselves on track????
